Our Feature in the Sunday Seattle Times!
I'm Famous!
Um...well...no. But Digital Mindfulness Retreats were featured in the Sunday Seattle Times two weeks ago!
If you have ever started a business from scratch with limited resources and a tiny marketing budget, you know what a windfall this article is. The concept of Digital Wellness and Digital Mindfulness are still fairly new, and I am thrilled that the word is getting out there. If you just recently signed op for my email list after reading the article, welcome!
In her article, reporter Tantri Wija used my DIY Guide to support her to unplug for a weekend, and found it enlightening:
"And that is the most potent lesson of the digital retreat, whether at-home or out in the wilderness: we do not need to be connected all the time for those connections to exist...I get to decide... whether I want to leave that work email for Monday or answer my mother’s text later in the afternoon. And in the interim, we don’t have to fire off angry birds or hate-like our friend’s vacation pictures to get our serotonin fix. We can sit and look out at the world that we scroll through on Instagram, and perhaps at night, our phones can go to sleep when we do."
It was a pleasure to talk to Tantri and her article is witty and insightful. Are you ready for your own at-home retreat? Read on!
P.S. If you’ve read this far, thank you! I invite you to join my mailing list for occasional musings and updates on retreats and events. I won't spam you, or share your data. Let's start supporting small businesses on platforms they own!
